Create your own futuristic city book. Unlike other books, this one is three-dimensional!
Supplies
City template- Cardstock paper
- Scissors
- Markers, crayons or colored pencils
Make the Pages
Step 1
Make a copy of the template provided onto cardstock paper. Cut the four rectangles apart.
Step 2
Color the three city scenes.
For a more dramatic effect, color the background darker, the middle ground a medium value and the foreground lighter.
Step 3
Cut around the tops of the front two scenes.
Make the Base
Step 1
Fold the base rectangle in half with a soft crease.
Step 2
Turn the paper over. Fold each side to the middle fold with a hard crease.
Step 3
Turn the paper over. Fold each side in half with a hard crease.
Step 4
Fold the paper in half with the sides folded in and cut both sides together carefully on the solid lines to make three slits.
Step 5
Open the base with the two side folds as mountains and middle fold flat.
Assemble the Book
Carefully slide each scene from back to front into the slots on each side for a 3-D effect.
Now you have created a sculptural book!
