Welcome to preschool storytime with Miss Rhonda and Boomer Bear! Today we are reading a modern day fable called Too Tall Houses by Gianna Marino.
Kindergarten Readiness Tip
One of the Kansas Early Learning Standards is that with prompting and support the child can use illustrations to retell major events in the story. This story could easily be retold by each of you taking on the role of the the owl and the rabbit. Retelling and acting out a story is a great way to help your child develop a sense of “story-order.” What happened first, next and last. This is an important skill in developing good reading comprehension later in school.
