Preschool Storytime: There Was a Turkey on the Farm

Welcome! I am so excited to share this story with you toady. We’re reading the book There Was A Turkey on the Farm by Valeri Gorbachev. Oh my, Turkey is having a hard time making friends and she thinks she has no friends on the farm. Then Turkey gets in trouble. Will anyone will come to help her? Let’s see as we read this story together.

Parent Tip

Turkey didn’t know how to make friends in the story we read today, she didn’t have good friendship skills. Your preschooler learns friendship skills as they play with others. Skills like sharing, taking turns, cooperating, listening to others, managing disagreements and seeing other people’s point of views all help them make and keep friends. Give them lots of opportunities to play with others and talk with them about each playdate.
