Preschool Storytime: The Rabbit Listened

Welcome friends! I am so excited to share storyime with you! Today we will read The Rabbit Listened by Cori Doerrfeld. I love this book! The boy discovers a true friend and we learn it’s OK just to sit and be quiet with your friend. Ready for the adventure today – lets go!

This book is part of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Collection.

Parent Tip

Talking with your child helps them develops language skills. At times its okay to be quiet as well. When you ask your child questions it is important to be silent and allow them to think about their answer. This helps them learn communication skills and teaches them how to have conversations. Improving listening skills will help your child as they make friends now and for a lifetime!

More Fun

Playing this fun game may help your child develop listening skills.

Greg and Steve have a song call the Freeze. This game requires kids to listen for the music stopping AND to stop their bodies when the music stops. This is a good way to work on impulse control as well. Grab some friends and have fun playing the freeze!
