Preschool Storytime – My Life as a Chicken

Hi friends! Thanks for joining me and Boomer Bear for Storytime with Miss Theresa. Today we’re going to read a book about a chicken who has a big adventure. It’s called My Life as a Chicken written by Ellen A. Kelley and illustrated by Michael Slack.

Parent Tip

For adults travel and adventure means going to a new, possibly exotic place. For a preschooler it could just be a trip to a new park, a walk around a your neighborhood or a night camping in the backyard. These activities give your child a sense of place. While your geographic address is your space, a sense of place is where you feel at home. This is important in helping your child feel like they belong and will lead them to a greater acceptance of the world around them.
