Preschool Storytime: Cyril and Pat

Today we will be talking about friends! Our two friends in today’s story have lots of adventures together. But no one else thinks they should be friends! Let’s see what they learn as we read the story Cyril and Pat.

Parent Tip

As your child plays with others, they build skills that help them with friendships now and in the future. These are skills like sharing, taking turns, cooperating, listening to others, managing disagreement, and negotiating different ways of thinking about things. All of these skills are important to help them have successful friendships in the future.

More Fun

Cyril and Pat learned that some things are more important than being the same or following others. Visit the authors website Emily Gravett  and help Cyril and Pat escape Sam the dog! They sure did have fun adventures together.

Your child may enjoy making friendship bracelets for their friends. Kidlutions bolgspot has a fun way to make one using colored straws. This activity will also help build fine motor coordination for your child.

Coloring Pages are so much fun! Kids, get your colors and try this one thengive it to a friend when you are finished.
