Preschool Storytime: Baking Day at Grandma’s

Today we’re going to grandmas house to do some baking. It is so much fun to bake with Grandma! Let’s see what fun it can be as we read the book. Baking Day at Grandmas written by Anika Denise and illustrated by Christopher Denise.

Today’s book is one of the books from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. If your early learner isn’t signed up for this free program to receive a new age-appropriate book every month until their 5th birthday, sign up today! All kids who live in Shawnee County are eligible.

Parent Tip

Cooking can help young kids learn and practice basic math skills while building their language skills. The experience of baking with you can also help build your child’s self-confidence. Then they can show off and eat what they made.
