Library Fantasy Football Update

football - holding in rain - resizedIf you weren’t aware, the library has a Fantasy Football League, and the season is a little over half over. We have a thirteen week schedule, followed by three weeks of playoffs that include the top eight teams. This year our league has expanded from eight to twelve teams, broken into two six team divisions. Anyone is welcome to participate, and if you’re interested in joining the league next year keep your eyes pealed for information about signing up next July/August. Here are the standings through Week 10 in our league:

Zit City Manglers – 8-2

Horny Toads – 8-2

Ruby Sharks – 7-3

Kevin’s Team – 5-5

Orlando Breakers – 3-7

Warriors – 1-9

The Pigskinners – 6-4

BDA’s Posse – 6-4

Matrix 103174’s Team – 5-5

Amish Fight Club – 4-5-1

Mark’s Maulers – 4-6

Chi-Town Chupacabras – 2-7-1

The Zit City Manglers have been led by their lethal New Orleans Saints combination of Drew Brees, Jimmy Graham, and Darren Sproles, while the Horny Toads have come on strong in the past few weeks behind Calvin Johnson, Tony Romo, and Alfred Morris. Beyond that, the remaining six playoff spots are up for grabs as there is a real logjam of teams in the 6-4/4-6 range.  The next few weeks are crucial for determining those final playoffs spots.

Stay tuned for more updates at the end of the regular season along with the outcome of the playoffs!

  1. Should be a separate award for best team name. My favorite: Amish Fight Club. Honorable mention: Zit City Manglers (gross!) and Horny Toads.

  2. Thanks for your comment, Richard – and that’s not a bad idea as we do have some creative and interesting names in our league.
