March is one of my favorite months. The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer, the birds are chirping, and I get to watch hours and hours of college basketball. I look forward to the college basketball tournament every year. I get to root for my favorite teams, root against my least favorite teams and cheer for the underdogs.
If you are looking for a place to watch some of the games, we will be showing them here at the library starting on Thursday, March 15. All games will be shown in Marvin Auditorium on our big screens. The schedule is:
Thursday | March 15 | 11:30am – 9pm
Friday | March 16 | 11:30am – 9pm
Saturday | March 17 | 11am – 6pm
Sunday | March 18 | Noon – 9pm
Another way to participate this year is to fill out a bracket in our NCAA Bracket Challenge. Just click on the link below. The winner gets a $20 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods and their name permanently on a plaque in the library’s Sports Neighborhood. You don’t have to be a die-hard college basketball fan. You could know next to nothing and still have a decent chance to win. Just fill out an online bracket between the evening of Sunday, March 11 after the brackets are announced and the start of the games on Thursday, March 15 to get your picks in.
