Tuesday Topics: A Great Way to Stay Informed about Your Community

The League of Women Voters of Topeka-Shawnee County hosts luncheons at the library the first Tuesday of every month with the intent of creating a more informed citizenry. The lunch portion is optional if all you want to do is listen to the speaker.

Coming up May 7, Vince Frye, Downtown Topeka, Inc. president, will speak about downtown redevelopment. RSVP for lunch by May 1 by calling 785-235-8452. Lunch starts at 11:30 am, with Frye’s talk beginning at 12pm in Marvin Auditorium 101BC. Jim Colson, Topeka’s city manager, as the inaugural speaker for the new Tuesday Topics series, which started in April.

Tuesday Topics are held in the section of the auditorium across from the Millennium Café at the Topeka-Shawnee County Public Library, unless otherwise indicated.
