Think Twice, Live Simple at the Green Fair

Spring is in the air and everything’s coming up green, and the library has just what you need.

While you’re here, check out our Lawn & Garden Neighborhood for all things growing, our Home Neighborhood for eco-friendly construction and projects, our Arts & Crafts Neighborhood for crafts from recycled items and books on conservation for adults and children.

The library will host its annual Green Fair on April 22, encouraging everyone to Think Twice, Live Simple. You will get tips on how to be green from a variety of exhibitors. There will be something for everyone from growing things to raising chickens to resource conservation and recycling. There will be crafts for kids, music and the Topeka Community Cycle Project will be accepting donations of old bicycles for restoration.

For more information about Green Fair exhibitors and activities, see the events calendar.

I work in Circulation as a senior library associate. I love mysteries, traveling, gardens and libraries. My favorite authors are Agatha Christie, Patricia Cornwell and Harlan Coben, but I enjoy any well-plotted mystery.
