Be an Informed Voter

It is never too early to be informed!

With the upcoming general election less than two months away, it is important to learn about who is running for the 2019 legislature. If you want to meet and hear directly from the candidates, attend the Legislative Candidate Forum on Tue, Sept 25,  6:30-8:30pm in Marvin Auditorium. Candidates will be part of a panel moderated by Tim Carpenter, Topeka Capital-Journal statehouse bureau chief.

Sept 25 is also National Voter Registration Day. If you haven’t had a chance to register to vote, you can register at the candidate forum or anytime at the library’s customer service desk. If you want to vote early, you can pick up a form to request an advance ballot in the library’s circulation lobby. The Shawnee County Election Office will then mail an advance ballot to your home.
