Fantasy and Sci-Fi Writing Workshop

Hugo, Nebulaand World Fantasy Award-winning author Kij Johnson will engage writers in "Short Fantasy and Science Fiction 101," a workshop on the fundamentals of writing short fiction in these genres. Using examples from her own work and that of other acclaimed writers, she'll lead participants in hands-on exercises and will encourage sharing with other writers in a supportive setting. Writers will leave with activities to practice and continue sharpening their skills after the workshop. See related event: author reading and discussion at 2pm.
