Transferring an ePub file to a Nook, Sony Reader, or other ereader
If you have a Nook, Sony Reader, or any other ereader that will display ePub documents, you can transfer documents from your computer to your ereader using a USB connector.
Save the ePub file to your computer. Plug in your device. Copy and paste or drag the file over to your ereader.
Transferring a MOBI file to a Kindle (or Kindle app)
If you have a Kindle (or a Kindle app), you can email documents to your Kindle. In your Amazon account, under Digital Content, choose Manage Your Kindle. Two of the choices on the left under Your Kindle Account are Manage Your Devices and Personal Document Settings.
Kindle Personal Documents service makes it easy to take your personal documents with you, eliminating the need to print. You and your approved contacts can send documents to your Kindle by e-mailing the documents to your Send-to-Kindle e-mail address.
Under Manage Your Devices, find the Send-to-Kindle E-mail Address for your Kindle (or your device with a Kindle app).
Under Personal Document Settings, be sure to “Add a new approved e-mail address” for whatever email account you will be emailing the file from. To prevent spam, your Kindle will only receive files from the following e-mail addresses you have authorized
Save the MOBI file to your computer.
In your email program, compose a new message and attach the Mobi file. Send the message to your Kindle e-mail address.
Sync your Kindle wirelessly (or sync your Kindle app) and the file should be listed and able to be read.
Transferring a PDF file to an iPad/iPhone
iPad/iPhone user have the option of installing the free Kindle app and following those instructions or using iBooks to view the PDF version. If an iPad/iPhone user opens the PDF link, they can choose to open the document in iBooks.
Transferring a PDF file to an Android device
If an Android device user opens the PDF link, they can choose to open the document in Adobe Reader.
