Let’s talk about James Corden. I first learned his name when he was in a little movie with Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt called Into the Woods.

Then he landed the hosting gig for The Late Late Show. That alone did not impress me, since I don't stay up late enough to ever catch that show. But then he started doing these little videos with famous musicians called Carpool Karaoke, and they are just great! Seriously, just the right amount of singing-to-the-radio and conversation to not be boring. I like that he surprises them with how well he knows the lyrics to their songs and that they all seem to have fun.

I watched a few during lunch the other day when I ran across this article on MSN, where someone fortuitously gathered them all in one place! I laughed out loud when he challenged Red Hot Chili Peppers front man to an impromptu "man-wrestle" and then got SKOOLED! Needless to say, I had to watch the next one too. It was Broadway themed with none other than man-of the-moment Lin-Manuel Miranda. BTW, we have the original Broadway cast recording of his play Hamilton AND the book it was based on. While I'm not a theater buff, I am a history nerd, and Miranda’s play is knock-it-out-of-the-park amazing work.

It almost makes me want to go to NYC and see it on Broadway. Almost. First I need to hit up the library's Travel Neighborhood to plan said trip. 😉
