Container gardening is an answer for those with small, limited garden space. If you are like me and live in an apartment, you know you can still enjoy growing flowers, herbs, and vegetables. In order to get started, you need a container (plastic, clay, or wood), a soil mix, fertilizer, water, and the most important part of the equation – plants! You can grow flowers, herbs, and vegetables in your container garden. Even if you have a lot of space, using containers is a great way to add more color to your home and garden.

Come learn more from the Shawnee County Master Gardeners on Thursday May 22, 2014 at 7:00PM-8:00PM in Marvin Auditorium 101C to learn more about container gardening, and check out materials from the Lawn & Garden neighborhood to continue learning at home!
