Teens 2011 Top Ten Books

The Teens’ Top Ten is a “teen choice” list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year. Nominators are members of teen book groups in sixteen school and public libraries around the country. The top twenty-five nominations are posted online during National Library Week, and teens across the country vote on their favorite titles each year at www.ala.org/teenstopten. These are the top ten books according to the nine thousand teens that voted:

  3. Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick
  4. I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore
  5. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
  6. Matched by Ally Condie
  7. Angel: A Maximum Ride Novel by James Patterson
  8. Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
  9. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
  10. Nightshade by Andrea Cremer

 Topeka area teens also voted for their top ten books on the nomination list at the Teen Read Week Books and Bites program at the library.  Here are their favorites:
