It’s Great to Be a Quitter! Join the Great American Smokeout November 15th

Great American Smokeout is a special day from the American Cancer Society to encourage tobacco users to make a plan to quit, or to plan in advance and quit smoking on that day. Find smoking cessation resources at the library in the Health Information Neighborhood at call number 613.85.

What’s in your drink? display educates about sugary drinks and toothbrushing

The library partnered with Oral Health Kansas to create a display that asks people to consider how much sugar is in their drink. Tips to increase Health Eating for a Healthy Mouth, helping a reluctant tooth brusher, and general Tooth brushing are included.

Art as Therapy

Learn how to use “Art as Hope” in the next session of the Cancer Survivor Education Series, at noon on Tuesday, October 23 in the Anton Room. Jane Hanni, Assistant Curator of Education at the Mulvane Art Museum, will help you look, create and understand. Mindful Shopping, Healthier Eating

No wonder it’s easy to get lost in the aisles! Learn “Mindful Grocery Shopping, Healthy Eating” with holistic health coach Tracie Inman at the library on Thursday, October 11 from 7-8 p.m. or on Friday, October 19 from 11 a.m. until noon.
