1985 Royals World Series DVD

Baseball is upon us once again, and what better way to get back into the season than by checking out one of the library’s new World Series DVDs.

1985 World Series DVDHighlighting this new DVD collection is The Kansas City Royals 1985 World Series Collector’s Edition, featuring the classic series between the Kansas City Royals and the St. Louis Cardinals, shown in its entirety. That’s right – all seven World Series game broadcasts.

Also new to our collection are The Minnesota Twins 1991 World Series Collector’s Edition featuring the Minnesota Twins and the Atlanta Braves, and The Arizona Diamondbacks 2001 World Series Collector’s Edition, featuring the New York Yankees and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Both of these Series are considered by analysts to be among the best ever played, and both collections also feature the full seven World Series game broadcasts.

And when you’re finished with these gems, be sure to check out Don Larsen’s perfect game, thrown in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series between the Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers. It’s also on DVD, and also shown in its entirety. It remains the only perfect game ever thrown in the World Series, and one of only 23 thrown in the nearly 130 years of professional baseball.
