Working together with parents and educators, the library is raising the next generation of readers. One part of that commitment is recognizing Week of the Young Child, April 14-20. Parents, bring the kiddos to our upcoming Week of the Young Child events and help build early reading skills.

Summer at the library offers reading rewards that you and your kid will dig. Sign up for Summer Reading today and keep kids reading all summer long. When they reach 12 hours, teens and kids receive a free book, plus lots of prizes along the way.
The Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library Green Fair, April 13 from 2–5pm, offers entertainment for all ages and eco-friendly ideas to incorporate into your daily life. Paper shredding and electronics recycling will also be part of the Fair.
