Our popular Green Fair will be Saturday, April 21 from 2-5pm. This year’s theme is “It’s Easy Being Green” (contrary to the song), and we want to show you all the great ways you can start living the green life or, if you already are, get some great new ideas.
Marvin Auditorium will be filled with booths offering information, demonstrations, tips and handouts. You can pick up a free lilac bush, do a planting, learn how to make a rain barrel, learn about native plants and much, much more. Enjoy live music in the rotunda, see a windmill up close or maybe win a door prize. Additional booths will be stationed outside and in the atrium.
Teens can visit the Edge to make a cool and useful items out of Formica sample wood chips like a memo clip, a bookbag tag or a bookmark. In the Kids Library there will be all kinds of crafts and games. You can learn about edible compost and examine wild animal tracks, skins and skulls.
