The Friends of the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library know when the winter weather takes hold nothing offers more comfort than cuddling up with a good book. These upcoming book sales will have your “to-read” list growing and have your pocketbook saying thanks.

in Marvin Auditorium
All the books you can stuff into a brown grocery bag (purchased at the door for $5) are yours. There’ll be books of all topics to cruise through. Come early as the best book bargains go fast.

The Chandler Booktique will be closed Jan. 1 and 21 in observance of the holidays.

The Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library is 21st-century landmark library and features the Alice C. Sabatini Art Gallery, the Millennium Café, meeting rooms, and free computer and Internet access and training.

Chandler Booktique hours are Mon. through Fri. 10 am to 6 pm, Sat. 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday 12 pm to 5 pm.
