Thinking about buying one of those cute, little bunnies you see at the pet store? Think a bunny would make the perfect Easter gift for your child? Before you buy, come investigate what it takes to become a good pet rabbit owner. We have a number of books in our Pets Neighborhood on raising and caring for pet rabbits. Here are two that you might want to read:

House Rabbit Primer: Understanding and Caring for your Companion Rabbit by Lucille C. Moore.
Living with a House Rabbit by Linda Dykes and Helen Flack
I’ve learned from personal experience that rabbits are not the easiest of indoor pets. For the sake of the pet, educate yourself before you buy.
To further educate yourself on becoming a rabbit owner, you might want to read this article from the House Rabbit Society:

Learning more about a pet before committing to owning one is a good idea. I read the House Rabbit Society article and I especially liked the “Make Mine Chocolate” campaign to encourage chocolate easter bunnies as gifts! Thanks for this information.
