A new program available via this website, called Muzzy, will help your child learn a new language. It’s free to access; All you need is a library card. Try it.
The library has signed a one-year subscription that gives you and your child 24/7 access to 26 different learning modules that provide kids with an entertaining adventure in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
Unlike most language learning products, Muzzy does not require that the learner already be able to read. It works on the immersion principle, introducing conversational phrases and dialogue in a storyline.
It is a great product for individual learning, traditional classroom settings, homeschooling, and Muzzy may just be something mom and dad or the grandparents enjoy using too.
Muzzy, developed by the BBC, has been offered for years in VHS and DVD formats, but this is the first time it’s been available as an online product. Muzzy is advertised frequently on channels like PBSKids Sprout and has received many awards and accolades over the years.
Let us know how you like using this product, either by providing feedback below in the comments section or talking with a librarian about your language learning experience. Your feedback helps determine whether we’ll sign up for Muzzy next year.

I love Muzzy. I used it in high school to learn French and now that it is available through the library I will be using it with my 4 and 9 year old children. Thank you very much for making this available.
