Teen 2011 Summer Reading ended with a rap concert featuring the well known rapper, Brail. Brail is best known for his song “Google Me” in support of the Think Big Topeka campaign to get Google’s fiber experiment to Topeka.

Phillip Watson (Brail) is a Topeka native and attends Washburn University. He is working on a dual major, vocal music and cello performance. He has signed with Soultaker Records and has been rapping for six years. He is also a member of Topeka’s Heartland Visioning task force.

Watson said, ” I’m a big fan of the city, so I do whatever I can to boost the community.” His song, Google Me, is based on his own experiences in Topeka and all the things it has to offer.

“I want to be the voice of the movement. This is my way to help – I’ll push anything that they want to do. Anywhere they go, I want to follow,” said Phillip Watson (Brail).
