I have really enjoyed having the Shawnee County Master Gardeners come to the library and we have two more programs in May that you might be interested in. The first is Herb Gardening.
I love having fresh herbs right by my back door. They smell wonderful plus it is easy to get to them when I need them for cooking. Whether I need basil for pesto or just some fresh parsley to brighten up a dish I have them right there. The Master Gardeners will be here Thursday May 12th from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. in the Marvin Auditorium 101C to answer any of your questions about herbs.
Then on May 19th the Master Gardeners will be here from 7:00-8:00 pm in the same room (Marvin Auditorium 101C) to help you learn about gardening for birds. I love seeing and hearing birds in my yard but I am never quite sure what will attract them. So, I know I will have lots of questions for the Master Gardeners.
If you would like to know more about herbs or gardening for birds be sure and check out these programs. I hope to see you there. And be sure and check out the Lawn and Garden neighborhood for all your gardening information needs.
