Our Boys, the 2012-2013 iRead book, chronicles the 2008 Smith Center historic football season and winning streak with Coach Roger Barta, and was selected for the 2012 Kansas Reads Project. Check out the book or the Book Group in a Bag kit, complete with discussion guide, from the library.

Established in 2007, the Washburn IREAD Program gives students and the community the opportunity to participate in a common reading experience that will expand critical thinking, hone reading and discussion skills, foster campus involvement, and enhance the campus experience.

Students will read this book in classes, and the university invites the Topeka community to join students and professors as they read Our Boys and be a part of the discussions that take place.
