All ages are invited to take a musical journey with this Grammy-award winning duo and discover songs that favor nature, exercise and spending time outdoors. Enjoy acoustic songs inspired by a canoe trip the pair took down the Mississippi River. Okee Dokee Brothers Justin Lansing and Joe Mailander put the passion for the outdoors into the heart of their Americana folk music – plus they harmonize just oh-so well. Fun for the entire family! Expect to get out of your chair and move.
The Okee Dokee Brothers have released five albums. Check out Can You Canoe?, which won a Best Children’s Album Grammy award in 2012, and Take It Outside from the library and visit their website where you’ll find many of their music videos. Joe and Justin’s next Adventure Album took them to the Appalachian Trail for Through the Woods, which will be released May 20. According to the Brothers, they’ll be going out West to find inspiration for their next album.
The Bros recently launched Okee Dokee Voicemail as a way to get in touch with their youngest fans; kids can call 470-222-OKEE to leave a message!
