Happy Holidays with the Tri-Percussion Music Ensemble

Sun | Dec 15 | 3:00pm | Marvin Auditorium

Enjoy holiday music with a percussive twist! John Currey, a master percussionist from Kansas City, brings us a unique way to celebrate the season, including songs for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and the Winter Solstice.

John Currey

Currey is joined on stage by Mark Lowry, Ray DeMarchi and Topeka’s own Sam Wisman. Their unique musical styles will leave you amazed. This concert is free and family friendly.

Currey is a master hand drummer and has more than 20 years of accompaniment experience. He and his ensemble will enchant you with the sounds of the marimba, vibraphone, glockenspiel, chimes and an eclectic array of rhythm percussion instruments from West African.

Get with the beat and join the jam session! Part of the Music for a Sunday Afternoon series.

Take the music home. After the program is over, cruise on over to our New Books, Movies and Music room and browse our holiday CDs, which check out for three weeks, which would take you through the Christmas holiday.
