Do you watch the Food Network on television? I do and two of my favorite chefs/cooks have new books out. The first one is Bobby Flay’s Burgers, Fries and Shakes. The title says it all. The first part of the book is all about the burger. Flay first talks about how he makes his perfect burgers and then he gives several recipes for all different kinds of burger. Most of his recipes call for ground chuck but there is a recipe for a salmon burger and a tuna burger that look divine. The next part of the book is all about the fries. Flay has the usual recipe for frying potatoes for fries but he also has a recipe for grilled steak fries that I would love to try. The last part of the book is all about the milkshake and all of those recipes look really good.

The other new Food Network cookbook is Down Home with the Neelys by Pat and Gina Neely. I love to watch both of them on television and their new cookbook looks really good. They have given us their most popular recipes that have been passed down from their relatives. From barbeque spaghetti to barbeque ribs, this cookbook encompasses all that is Memphis barbeque.

So, if you are interested in new cookbooks, these are two that might work for you. Take a look at them and let me know what you think. Happy cooking!!
