This book may be too late for this Christmas but you might want to keep it in mind for next Christmas. The Gingerbread Architect  by Susan Matheson and Lauren Chattman is a how-to-book on making gingerbread houses. So, what is new about this one? Well, these gingerbread houses have architectural features designed for each type of house. There is a Cape Cod house with shutters, and a Victorian Farmhouse with a high-pitched roof. This is just two of the many gingerbread houses contained in this book. All of the houses have great photos and very detailed instructions. To match the experience level of the baker, each house is rated by diffulty from one gingerman to four.

I have only made one gingerbread house and it was not very good. But after looking at this book, I think I might try it again. It may not be this Christmas, but maybe next Christmas. If you are an experienced gingerbread house baker, or like me very inexperienced, come and take a look at this wonderful book.
