Have you ever imagined what it would be like to be a spy for the CIA? What would it be like to go undercover? How would you live your normal life if you had to hide information from those closest to you? The television show Alias is based around that premise. Sydney Bristow was recruited into the CIA while she was in college and has been working as a spy, under the guise of working at a bank. However, she only thought she was working for her country. She learns that she has actually been working for a group called SD-6, the people that she thought she had been fighting. Sydney contacts that real CIA and becomes a double agent.
I was introduced to Alias when I was around the age that the character Sydney was when she was recruited. I’ve always loved reading mysteries and Alias appealed to that. I was hooked from the very first episode. Many of the episodes end in cliffhangers, leaving you wanting more. J. J. Abrams, known to many as the director of the most recent Star Trek reboot, created the show, which starred Jennifer Garner Sydney Bristow for five seasons. If you like mysteries, thrillers, and/or science fiction, Alias is for you and you can find it on DVD at your library.
