The famous Lucille Ball (Python) will be appearing for one week only, June 17-21, on the Adventuremobile. Lucy, as she is known to her friends, has been the star of many a library event over the last 17 years. Her manager, Deb Southerland of the Bookmobile Department, says they have won the hearts of many a snake-lover and skeptic. Lucy feels, as an ambassador for Snake-kind everywhere, it is her duty and pleasure to help dispel negative myths and advocate for these much maligned creatures. Don’t miss the chance to meet this charming and facinating celebrity. Lucy looks forward to your attendance at any of her appearances. Check times and locations.

Puppies wil be the ”Critters” on the Adventuremobile next week, June 10-14.  On loan from the Helping Hands Humane Society a puppy surprise will be wagging our way. Will they be big or small? Will they be boys or girls? What color? Long hair? We don’t know yet but they are sure to pack wiggles and giggles for all. Puppies are available for adoption ask us for details.

These adjustments have been made for several reasons including;

• Increased service hours.
• More equitable coverage throughout the county based on population and usage.
• Minimizing extra travel time between stops to use less gasoline.
• Increased service time at the busiest stops.
• Morning stops will start a little earlier and the use of all day locations will eliminate time out of service for travel and setup between stops.

The new schedule begins October 1, 2012. Print copies are available on the bookmobile and in the October/November issue of ConnectNow which should be available in mid-September .

We look forward to these positive changes. Come October we’ll be looking for you at your regular Bookmobile Stop or maybe a new one.  The times and days may change but our committment to excellent customer service goes with us wherever, and whenever, we go. .

Remember the bookmobiles will also be out of service next Monday September 2nd due to the Labor Day holiday.

Reserved items scheduled to be picked up from a bookmobile may be picked up at the main library next week. They will also be available for pick-up at the scheduled bookmobile stop the following week.

Extra time for pick-up will be allowed to avoid reserved items being pulled before they are available at the chosen location.
